What Verdict collects

Verdict may process account identifiers, email address, declared birthday, profile identity, mood-orb configuration, confessions, takes, responses, replies, reactions, saves, follows, reports, blocks, notification preferences, and basic security or diagnostic information.

What stays private

Birthday, email, saved confessions, blocks, reports, and account security information are not intended to appear on public profiles. Public confessions and responses may be seen, shared, or captured by other people.

Why data is used

Data is used to operate accounts, publish and deliver social content, build profile and mood identity, rank honest discovery results, deliver Signals, prevent abuse, respond to reports, and improve reliability. Verdict must not claim psychological insight that its data cannot support.

Service providers

The production beta is designed to use contracted infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, email, monitoring, and product analytics. The final provider list and data retention periods must be confirmed before release.

The GIF picker is designed to connect directly to GIPHY. When it is opened or searched, GIPHY may receive a generic theme query or the exact GIF search you type, a pseudonymous customer identifier, IP address, device information, and view/click/send events. Verdict does not send the full confession text to GIPHY; automatic suggestions use a broad theme such as relationship, friendship, family, or work.

Optional AI takes

When you choose to generate takes, Verdict sends the story text to OpenAI to suggest short reactions and check their relevance. It does not include your account email, profile, private messages, or other posts in these requests. Any personal details you put in the story are part of the text sent. You can write your own takes instead. Generated takes are suggestions for you to review before publishing.

Verdict requests that these API responses are not stored as retrievable responses. This is not a promise of zero retention by the provider; OpenAI’s applicable API data policies also apply.

Your choices

Users can adjust notification preferences, remove their own content where supported, block people, report content, and delete their account from within Verdict. Account deletion removes or anonymizes associated personal data subject to legal, safety, and fraud retention requirements.
